Lupa is Tagalog for earth. Set against langit, the sky, it names the world beneath our feet: where our materials come from, and where they return.
The eggshells we work with are sourced from cafés, bakeries, and restaurants across New York, and processed in an industrial kitchen.
Sustainable, bio-based materials derived from renewable sources like plants, fungi, bacteria, or agricultural waste, aiming to replace resource-intensive materials like animal leather and synthetic textiles.
We bring the materials and the recipe, you bring your hands. Over a couple of hours your group learns where the material comes from, works it, and finishes a piece to keep.
Anything from an intimate group of six to a team of up to fifty. Larger than that and we'll split you into sessions.
Yes. We bring everything to your office, event space or venue anywhere in New York, or you can come to us.
None at all. Every workshop is designed for complete beginners.
Most run two to three hours. Half-day formats are available for teams who want to go deeper into the material.
